Question: Save as web page in Word 97

hi...
Just reformatted my computer, reinstalled MS Office 97 Professional,
and suddenly, I am unable to edit web pages in regular form. Now when
I open a web page file in "open with Word", it opens as html instead
of viewing it as a web page would actually look. Same with the
reverse... gone is the ability to "save as web page" in my 'file'
directory.

Whats up? Did I have some sort of patch or update installed when I
first installed Office on my computer? Am I doing something
wrong/weird? Please let me know, as this is very frustrating.

I believe Office 97 did require some sort of add-in (Internet Assistant?) to
create Web pages.
