Question regarding SP2

I installed SP2 yesterday and generally all looks good. However, when I open
the Internet Explorer, I still get 2 or 3 popups, 2 or 3 files and 2 or 3
registry items added. I get rid of these with Ad-Aware and other cleaners,
but they come back (see example below). How can I keep these kinds of
unwanted files from getting on my computer?

Example from Ad-Aware Log:
Possible browser hijack attempt : Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\SearchSearchAssistantwww.websearch.com

Possible Browser Hijack attempt Object recognized!
Type : RegData
Data : "http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=50188"
Category : Data Miner
Comment : Possible browser hijack attempt
Rootkey : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Object : Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
Value : SearchAssistant

Deep registry scan result :

New variants of spyware are created regularly. I find that Spyware Blaster
(freeware) is an excellent way to prevent most crap from installing itself

You can adjust SP2's popup stopper to be more aggressive and then use the
Settings option to place exception entries to prevent blocking popup that
you might want to see (or press the Ctrl key to view them)

Thanks Harry. How do I get to the popup stopper with Settings option you
mentioned?

I thought you mentioned you have SP2 installed. If so launch IE then click
on Tools->Popup Blocker. If the Popup Blocker is turned on then you have the
Settings option. Or you can install a third party app. Even though I have
SP2 installed I have chosen to disable the IE Popup Blocker and use a third
party app for this.
