Hey folks,

Like the dumbass that I am, I spilled some water in my keyboard and killed
it. I picked up a new one today and when I got it home realized that it's a
USB keyboard. It actually has two USB jacks built into it which I think is
pretty cool, but when I picked it out I didn't even think to check whether
is was USB or not since I never knew they existed. Anyway, my main concern
is if/when I go to upgrade or rebuild my system, should I be concerned that
this keyboard may not work until Windows is actually installed?
Specifically I'm thinking about potential problems tweaking BIOS settings,
typing in Windows Key #'s, etc.

Thanks,
Nate

You should be able to enable something termed 'legacy usb' or similar in
the BIOS. This will detect and make your USB keyboard usable, as it did
for my wireless usb keyboard.

Well I guess the crux of my question is whether or not I could enable legacy
usb in the BIOS with my usb keyboard. I'll be getting a new mobo
eventually. Sort of a "chicken or the egg" situation...
