Question re updates

I

Ian Mac Donald

I have windows XP home version. I am running a Dell P4 1.8 Gig with 40 gig
hd, and 512 K of RD Ram. It used to be very fast launching windows and Ie5.
( I also have Norton Anti Virus, and am on DSL Broadband. )
I always download the latest windows updates for security , and some other
recommended updates.

In the past few months, launching windows, and IE5 from the keyboard can
take over 10 seconds. It used to be only seconds. Can anyone have any
suggestions as to what may have caused the slowdown, and if so, how can I
correct it.
Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with my puter..my uncle installed
an adaware program which finds all the programs that are
automatically downloaded from the internet that are
keeping track of which pages you visit on the net..much
like tons of little cookies do but without your knowledge.
After we ran it,it found 403 programs in which it will
get rid of for you....my puter and everything on it runs
like new again..try getting adaware6...K. T.
