But we can at least tell you how to boot into safe
mode,in the event the need arises in the future.
Click on the green start tab>click on "run" then type
msconfig into the white box that appears.Click O.K.
This will open the System Configuration Utility.
Click on the tab marked BOOT.INI Place a tick/check in
the box next to where it says /SAFEBOOT
Click apply. You will then get a message informing you
that for the changes to be made, the computer must be
rebooted.Click O.K. it will then reboot into safe mode.
To return to "normal mode",go to start>run>msconfig(same
procedure as before)when the SCU opens, simply click the
tiny circle next to "normal start up-load all devices and
drivers". Once again, the computer will tell you it needs
to reboot to apply the changes.Click O.K.-then it reboots.
It's good to practice doing this actually, because were
you ever to (Heaven Forbid)get hit by a virus, somewhere
along the way, you'll have to reboot in safe mode to
delete the remnants of itsprocesses/stubborn files etc.
Best to learn it now, before it becomes a desperate
necessity.
