Question on the upgrade for a system with two disk drives

I'm wondering if you can get around having a sloppy install over an existing
XP partition by telling Vista to install on the second blank hard drive and
somehow setting up the boot partition on the second drive then removing the
1st drive from the mix? Maybe ghosting the fist drive, then deleting just
about everything from the second drive but the boot goodies, when install
Vista on it, then copying over the modified boot.ini from the first drive?

Hi,

Just reinstall Vista with the first drive removed, then everything will be
on the 2nd drive. By the by, Vista does not use boot.ini, but when migrated
you can use the startup repair by booting with the Vista disk.
