Question on AudioShell m3p converter

D

Don Smith

I just installed AudioShell hoping to change m3p files into non-protected
music files so I could edit them. The documentation says,

"AudioShell - AudioShell is a freeware MS Windows Explorer shell extension
plugin which allows you to view and edit music file tags directly in
Windows Explorer. AudioShell supports MP3 (all ID3v2 tag versions), WMA,
ASF, WMV, Apple iTunes AAC (M4A and M4P), MP4, OGG, FLAC, ..."

My question is, what is an *extension plugin*? How do I use it to convert
the music files? I know what an extension is, but in this case I'm totally
confused. The above is all the documentation there is.

Thanks for any help on this confusing issue...

Have you tried to burn them to an Audio CD and re-rip as unprotected files?
Once unprotected you can edit them.
