Question of terminology

In my current position I have built numerous Access programs. What is deemed
the most appropriate when referring to these. Are they database tools,
custom applications, Access programs? As many of you are true deveopers,
what do you suggest?

I usually call them "database applications". You could always take a
page out of Microsoft's book and just call them "solutions". Aren't
buzzwords wonderful?

All of the above. And more. Access is very flexible. They're all custom
applications, but mostly for databases. Some are utilities for database or
computer maintenance that don't handle data at all. I've even seen games
built with Access.

As many of you are true deveopers,
what do you suggest?

It depends. Where I work they're usually referred to as "Access apps" but I
think the official terminology is supposed to be Access database applications.
At least that's what it says in our documentation.

After building between 40-50 different "Solutions", as I look to possibly
take a different employment position I am just trying to work out the best
way to describe all I have done, difficult to keep to one page.

Some people build that many in a few months (or less). Obviously, more
complexity will take more time. Some people work on the same application for
years.

Unless you have 30+ years experience, keep your resume at one page.
