Question About your Computer Security Job (the anxiety).

Anezina

Hello everyone,

I imagine that the computer security field is a source of constant anxiety
because if a hacker succeeds in accessing company files, you are held
responsible and can loose your job. Is this true ?

How do you deal with this ?

Thanks,

Anezina

Have you been sacked?

I have not been sacked. This is just a general question.

One problem is that most companies don`t keep their security
up-to-date .

Sure, and if you park cars for a living and you crash one I suppose
you could lose your job over that too. I suppose a lot depends on
the specific circumstances

Someone in one of the security groups recently answered a similar
question by saying he went to http://catsinsinks.com whenever the
stress level got too high.

....but that's just a temporary distraction.
