Question about Global Assembly Cache

Dear all,

Now, I am using Global Assembly Cache to share assembly between server
and clients. However, it seems that the server and clients use individual
Global Assembly Cache. For example, the assembly is placed in U drive, I
have to use the Global Assembly Cache Tool in the client PC to add the
assembly to the Global Assembly Cache of the client PC manually. Should I
set something in the Global Assembly Cache Tool in the client PC in order to
add the assembly from the server automatically while the version of the dll
is updated?

Hi Ray

Given that you have given your assembly a Strong Name to go in the Global
Assembly Cache, you could also try not adding your assembly to the GAC, but
instead placing it in a location that is accessible to the clients and the
servers, and using a codeBase element in your .config file. Try this URL for
