Querying Data from Different Tables

G

Guest

I have created 10 tables with the same fields in each table, but different
data in each table. How do I create a form that will look in all the tables
and display the data I queried? I have trouble creating a single query to
search all tables for the specific criteria that I would enter.

Thanks,

Sounds like what you really need is one table with an extra field
differentiating these different types of data.

Creating a query from one table would be a cinch by comparison.

Why 10 tables. Use an update query to combine them all.

If you need to keep the information separated for some reason, add an
additional field to provide that identification. Doing it the way you are
is just going to cause more and more problems down the line.

The Republic of Ireland has 26 counties, not counting the 6 in Northern
Ireland, separated from the rest of Ireland by the English. Hopefully I
will live to see one whole united Ireland with justice and peace for all its
citizens.

For the foreseeable future, Joe, the only way to unite Ireland is to
slaughter a million Unionists. Personally, I think that's too high a price
to pay. And if you think there is justice here in the Republic, you're
dreaming.

You post knowledgeable, helpful answers, Joe, and I admire and respect your
willingness to help others with their technical problems. But your shallow,
simplistic, out-dated sloganeering pisses me off, and I'm not going to
listen to it any more. With regret, I find myself forced to add you to my
killfile, and not to read any more of your posts.

I am sorry you feel that way. My personal experience tells me
different. I find that most people in the North are reasonable peaceful
people, who while concerned for their own welfare do not hold any evil wish
for others be they of their same faith or otherwise. If the fear factor can
be contained and the corrupted militants on both sides marginalized as the
thugs they are, then progress based on the best for all can be made.
Comments like yours can only slow the process by increasing that fear.

As an economist, I tend to feel that the real driving force behind
politics is money. In this I believe that a united Ireland is a better
Ireland for all involved, including not only those on the island but England
as well.

I am sorry you feel that way that way about peace. I do agree that the
slogan is ... well simplistic, but it does reflect what I believe will be
the future and the best for all concerned. Perhaps with better
understanding of each other we all can profit. I am sorry if you are pissed
off, but maybe that is the fist step to growth and moving on in peace.

For all the others in the Access newsgroup, I am sorry if you have found
this off topic. Maybe you have gained a little insight into the complex
problems Ireland faces today. You have my promise that I have no intention
of making this a forum for political views.

Isn't it sad that "Love thy neighbor as thyself" is a tenat in almost all
religions, but causes so much division in so many countries.
I'm sorry I asked such a contentious question.

About one thing at least Joseph and myself are in complete agreement - it is
not about religion, it is about economics. Now, can we please drop it?
