Query takes almost an hour to run

I have an Access database (Office XP 2002) hitting DB2 tables via an ODBC
connection. These are very large tables. That being said, some of my queries,
let alone the Macros that run one query after another to complete a new data
pull take OVER AN HOUR.

My machine is a Dell optiplex 745 w/ DUAL CORE processor and 2GB of RAM.

A Colleague sugested indexing the tables but I do not have edit access to
the DB2 tables just read only.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kathy,

You posted your inquiry to the Macros tab. When you log in, put your mouse
over 'Access DataBase' at left and see dropdown, go to Queries and then
repost.

Be sure to check the box at bottom of post "Notify me of replies".

I just logged in because I got a notice of a reply and then saw you on the
front screen.
