A subweb is a FP stand alone web (under the root or another subweb)
"thesub" is a subweb to
http://www.rootweb.com/thesub/
A subdomain is a domain that is part of a larger domain name in DNS hierarchy
Subdomains can be on separate servers. For example, in the domain name thesub.rootweb.com, "thesub" is a subdomain of the larger
second-level domain "rootweb.com."
FP does not support opening /publishing to a subdomain, but you can create a subweb and then in the server DNS set it up as a
subdomain
Use FP subweb to break up large web into meaningful subsections or different looks
Use subdomains for convenience or branding or load balancing of servers

| Hi all,
| Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a "subweb" and a web
| in a sub-domain, and what the advantages/disadvantages are of each.
| TIA
