Hi all!

I am trying to send the results of a query to an email recipient in Rich
Text Format but this is not working. I use Access 2003.

The steps I take are: Run the query, press the File menu, click on Send To,
Mail Recipient (As Attachment)..., select Rich Text Format. This transfers
into Lotus Notes. The attachment is a spreadsheet with a name such as
CDB27.xls.

When I click on the attachment and the spreadsheet opens it is full of
garbage.

I have other similar queries that work as they should.

Any idea why this is happening? How do I fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Dave

I bet it is in RTF format; however, you have .xls in the file name and
programs think that it is a spreadsheet.

RTF is for the most part a Word document. Name it .rtf or even .doc and I
bet it opens up just fine in Word, Wordpad or some other document file.
