Query Design Grid doesn't show.

Hello,

I have Access 2000 and one of the queries I am working on doesn't have the
design grid pane but have the tables with linked relationships.

Is it because of the version 2000 or some other reason? Can I restore the
design grid for that query by clicking some button?

I noticed someone asked the same question before and I tried to find the
gray bar at the bottom but I couldn't.

Please give me some advice how to recover the design grid in the query
design view.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Laurie

I have never heard of such a thing, unless you have made the
query design window too short or dragged the dividing line
between the table area and field list down to the bottom of
the design window.

I expect the query was designed in a higher resolution. One solution would be
to recreate the query. View the SQL View and copy and paste the SQL statement
into a new, blank query. Rename the old query and save the new query with the
old name.

Hi Laurie,

Marshall has given you the probable why,
and Duane the wise, common-sense solution,
so I don't know why I should feel so compelled
to say more except that this has happened to me
before and so frustrated me that I found (in my case)
that...

if I temporarily hid the Window Taskbar, there was
the very top of the grid that I could drag up.

good luck,

gary

Thanks everybody for the suggestion and comments!!!

Duane, the query is so long that it is painful to redesign.

Marshall, dragging the dividing line too low was probably the reason.

Gary, hiding the Window Taskbar is the real solution in this case.

I am really grateful for your inputs!!!

Thanks again and have a nice time!!

Enjoy!!!!!!

Laurie
