Query csv, txt, xls

Is it possible to query csv, txt delimited, or xls files from the
Access query window (or using vba) without importing the file into
Access?

You can create a link to the file with File | Get External Data | Link Tables
on the main database menu bar (or equivalent if using Access 2007).
