query an excel sheet and draw a line chart

Can somebody please guide me on how to run a query on an excel sheet by certain criteria ...like get all the rows belonging to one specific person in Column A and then draw a line chart using data in colB and Col C

Add a heading row to the table, e.g. Name, Date, Amount
Select all the data in columns B and C, and create a line chart
Select a cell in the table
Choose Data>Filter>AutoFilter
From the dropdown list in column A, select a name
The chart will display the data for that person.
