This program appears to be nothing but a demo and if you want to use it you must
buy the pay version. Is this the case? They give an example using Washington Mutual
Checking account. If you attempt to 'edit' it to reflect YOUR bank, you receive a
pop-up that informs you that you need to UPGRADE to 'add' "additional" accounts!
"Add accounts"? DUH! How about entering only one? Oh, well, no biggie, I can
design a spreadsheet that works...with as many accouts as I want. If I am missing
something about this program, please enlighten me, please. TIA.

Last freeware version that supports multiple accounts is v. 2.1.9,
available for download at rareware section of my Mole Zone (url in

Kindly regards.

No, it works but with only one account *at a time. Instead of opening the
demo account, select add account. After creating the account close it. You
can create another account/file and as many as you want. You just select
file open to pick the one you want to work with. Select file new to create
another one. You can only work with one account/file at a time.

See point .11 of the faq
http://www.mechcad.net/products/acemoney/faq.shtml

The lite version works well for people who only need simple banking. But if
you need to setup multiple accounts like checking, savings, creditcard,
etc.and make payments from one account to another, you'll need the full
version. With the lite version...if you withdrew money from the savings and
wanted to place it in the checking for instance, you would have to do that
manually (open each account seperately). hth

And it works pretty well. I've been using it for a while. One account at a
time is no big limitation for me!

You can have all the accounts you wish. I find it to be an excellent *simple
banking and checkbook program.

I second that. It is easy enough my technophobe wife can use it. I
like it and I have freely told others who think it is very nice for free
software. It would be safely called, "liteware".
