Q: RDC file transfer

Hello,

I need to transfer 3GB file from a remote computer to my computer. I was
trying to copy file through a mapped drive in remote desktop connection but
it seem it is so slow, is there any other free option I can use to transfer
file?

Hi,

Regardless of technique, the transfer speed will be limited to the slowest
part of the connection. A mapped drive on a network is about as good as you
will get, so the limit you are running into is a physical limitation of the
network.

Hello Rick,
Thank you very much for the reply. Once I logged in remote computer, I click
my local drive it takes time to refresh and show the file in Remote computer,
that is really slow so even one small files are taking time. I tried to
upload some file to my e-mail, that is faster then copying over mapped drive.
Is there any free storage spaces on the internet I can use for uploading?
