I have this python 2.2 on my windows xp what is it?

Pythlon is a programming language. can't tell you why it's there. maybe
someone else in your hosue installed it, or a programs that you have
installed uses it.

You probably see it in add/remove programs,did you up-
grade to xp from ME.Leave it as is,there's other windows
components xp uses from that.
