Putting a hyperlink in a locked Word form

I've created a form that I want to circulate as a questionnaire.
I want the users to be able to access a hyperlink.
I've tried the method outlined in the discussion that involves creating a
macro using the followhyperlink method.
It doesn't work for me.
Is there a way of locking only part of a document so that I can insert a
working hyperlink a separate bit?
Can anyone suggest another workaround?
Thanks

See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/HLinksInForms.htm.

The method described there depends on a macro to handle the hyperlink. To
send the document to others and have it work, the macro has to be in the
document, not in the template on which the document is based. That in turn
means that each recipient will have to go to Tools > Macro > Security and
choose the Medium security level, and click the Enable button in the macro
warning dialog that pops up when they open the questionnaire.
