Put report in Ascending order of date

I have a report and the first column is the unique identity for the record
and is sorted in Ascending order. However, I would like the Report to be
sorted in Ascending order by date. Please help!!

In report design view there is a toolbar button that will display a "Sorting and
Grouping" dialog. Set your desired sorting in that.
