Purging File Cache

I'm doing some development work with CDs.

When testing I'm putting a new CD in my CD drive which is
identical to the previous one except for a few characters
in a file.

My problem is that the file system seems to think that
this is the SAME disk that was in before and delivers the
contents of the file from the cache. Using F5 to refresh
does not help this.

Each CD drive will retain a different version, but very
quickly I run out of drives!

How can I tell the machine to purge the cache or indicate
to always take the data from the physical media?

It turns out that if you put a totally different disk in
it (and then one of mine), it purges OK.

However, the SFC /purgecache command does not work, so I
guess it's the cache in the drive that's doing it.
