I have large business that has a light need for e-mail. Currently have 10
staff with all kinds of different e-mail addresses. I am very familiar with
outllook and would like to get all staff with the same e-mail address
example: (e-mail address removed)

Would I need to purchase exchange server along with outlook to acomplish
this? How do I secure my own domain name?

Think on the need of an email server to mantain. I mean, you can setup an
email service for your company without the need of setup an email server. As
long as everybody use different email addresses, probably you can use one of
the email providers and setup your company email for all of them. You don't
need to purchase outlook if you don't use office. if you use office, outlook
comes as part of the pachage but also you can use outlook express which comes
as part of your windows installation.

Your best bet would be to go to a provider that does what is called Hosted
Exchange. (www.1and1.com is one).
They can also setup and register your own domain name as well.
