Publishing Problem For Windows Movie Maker

I found an older capture card my dad had (Dazzle Video Capture 80) and hooked
it up to my xbox 360 and captured some gameplay to make a video. I was
successful in creating a video in Movie Maker that has solid quality, but
when it is published, the quality drops severely to the point where all the
colors are either red or green, and the picture is distorted so you cannot
see what is happening. Does this problem have to do with the older capture
card or something else?

How would we know? You didn't say what output was set at on the 360. What
cabling you used or what resolution the card captures at, or anything. Red
or green? VHS quality? Forget it.

the final output all depends on the settings you choose, and the format of
the final video. Where are you publishing the video to? what quality
settings do you have. The way the movie looks while you are editing it in
movie maker has very little to do with how the final product will look once
rendered to your final video.
