Publishing from my network places to a folder

Greetings......I have been using frontpage 2002 for years (apparntly without
retaining any real knowledge), but unfortunately my computer had a major
crash near the start of this year, and I had to have windows reinstalled,
along with everything else, including of course, frontpage.....

I had a backup of my my webs folder which is where i saved my website data
before publishing it from frontpage......here is the problem.......When I
reinstalled it earlier this year, I somehow managed to start opening my site
from the actuall webpage itself in my network places, rather then from my
webs.....without knowing it.....stunned, i know.

The problem is that the work I have done on my site over the last 3 monthes
isn't saved in my webs, and working on my site on frontpage by opening from
the site itself in my network places is inconvenient.....whenever I save a
change it automatically publishes........I just want to move a copy of my
website from the internet to a new my webs folder so I can start saving and
publishing my work from there like I used to........

Do I have to copy and paste the data from the website in my network places
to a new my webs folder? Do I "import" the page to a new folder? I don't know
what to do and I am nervous about losing my website or somehow screwing it
up.....I have several backups of my webs from before the crash earlier this
year, but it would be great if I could make a backup of the current website
somehow....not sure how....

sorry if my post seems confusing...I am confused so it may show,
lol.....Thanks in advance.

You should be able to create a website folder on your local machine and then
publish it from your live copy onto the computer.

So I make a new folder, and then go onto frontpage......and from my website
in my network places, I publish it to the new folder?

Is that what I do?
