I have been using Front Page 2003 to publish my site and everything has
worked fine.
Now when I click on Remote Web site it asks me for my user and password
and right after I enter it, I get an error
saying:

"unable to open "http://www.xxxx.com" Possible reasons:
1. Server extensions not installed
2. Server temporary unavailable
3. Proxy server not configured
4. An error on web server may have occured

None of those things have changed since I last published so I doubt its
any of those.

What kind of things can I try

Are you behind a network firewall or, more precisely, are
you using a proxy server? FP doesn't like that. Try
changing your settings. In IE, Tools>Internet
Options>Connections>LAN Settings. Uncheck use proxy server
and try publishing. It's something easy to try.

The other, more likely possibility is corrupt FP server
extensions. You have to ask your host to rebuild them.
It's a common problem.
