Hi,

In order to publish my Powerpoint presentation on my website, do I need to
load the Powerpoint program itself onto my webserver account, or will the
Powerpoint presentation I have developed (e.g.
AcupuncturistsWithoutBorders.ppt) function without the program actually being
loaded?

Thanks,

p.s. I use Dreamweaver MX 2004.

No. What you need to do after you have created your presentation save it as
a web page, then upload the file and associated folder of files to your web
site. Every one then will be able to view your presentation just using there
internet browsers.

No ... that wouldn't work and wouldn't be legal anyhow.

If you upload the PPT file to your site and add a link to it from some other
page, visitors to your site would need either PowerPoint or the free PowerPoint
Viewer to view the presentation. Depending on your audience, you might be ok to
assume that they either have one of those or will be willing to download and
install the viewer in order to see your work.

If you convert to HTML as Michael has explained, all they'll need is a browser,
but there'll be some loss of fidelity; animations and a few other things dont't
work quite the same.

or will the

Also something to consider when uploading the presentation to your site
using as Steve suggested, if you viewer is not using a high-speed connection
and is still on modem the download of your presentation will be extremely
slow.
