2 Public folder items are not visible to myself only on one PC, I have
full access to these folders on another PC.
I have double checked all folder permissions in Exchange System
Manager.

Have tried deleting profiles, OST's, repairing Office and have
completely removed Office and re-installed.

Outlook 2003
Exchange 2003

Lost, sad, frustrated, hope it's something simple!

Is it there in OWA? Is the other PC also Outlook 2003?
Fully patched?

I have a same problem:
I have set permissions for users on public folders that contain contact
groups. They used to work fine. Now when users logged into certain computers
users are denied permissions. But they can log in on another computers with
the same username and their permissions work fine. My permissions work fine
in Outlooks Web Mail. What can be causing this problem?

For me there are no permission denied errors, contents/folders just
don't show.

Are you guys going back/forth from Outlook 2002 and Outlook 2003 by any
chance?

And are we fully patched on the client?

2003 only and fully patched.

Nope, not resolved.

But because it seems PC specific and there doesn't seem to be any other
resolution I will be doing a clean install of XP as a work around, not
fun.

One of the computers that this is happening is a fairley new workstation. But
I did tranfer Office and Windows settings from the old one. I don't know if
the old workstation had the same problem.

Please let me know the clean install works.

I can't explain the solution for this or guarantee it will work again,
but I will outline the process I went through that inadvertantly fixed
this.

Note: I never got around to doing the re-install.

Using the "Open these additional mailboxes" option I added another
users mailbox, which I couldn't expand as it gave the error "Unable to
display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified
folder location". To get around this I created an Outlook profile with
this users mailbox and accessed it that way.

I then realised that the account I really wanted was in a different
container in AD and I was able to add it as an additional mailbox and
expand without a problem

I deleted the second profile, went back in to my default profile and
the public folders were visible again.

This makes no sense, I'm not sure which of the above may have triggered
the fix or if it is just coincidence.
