I have been running Karen Kenworthy's PTSynch 1.1.4 for quite a long
time and have recently experienced a persistent error

"Run-time error '10049' Address not available from the local machine"

I am at a loss to find out where to start to look for the problem. I
re-installed PTSynch just to make sure none of the files have been
corrupted to no avail. Not knowing what "address" it is looking for, I
don't have any ideas where to look for something else that may have
changed on my system.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for pointing me to that article. Unfortunately, a check of the
registry did not show the indicated entry. I also checked all the
PTSynch registry entry to no avail.

I Google Search on "Run-time error 10049" turned up a number of winsock
related entries. I'll have to dig a little deeper. I will be downloading
the PTSynch source to see if I find anytine there.

Once again, thank you for your help.

A number of Karen's tools required a VB 6 Runtime DLL file, this might be
worth looking into.

I tried reinstalling the VB 6 Runtime. It did not change the situation.
Started looking at the source... My gut tells me that I won't find
anything there... More likely something else changed on my machine which
is causing the problem.
