pst lost when copying a windows xp profile.

I changed out an NT DC to a 2000 DC and had to change the
domain name. When I used Windows XP profile copy to move
the user profile the outlook.pst file was lost. I went as
far as to put the NT server back in place and change the
XP workstation to the orginal domain and log in under the
former profile. When I launched outlook it was unable to
locate the outlook.pst, it gave a path of c:\docs and
set\(user)\localsettings\microsoft\office\outlook\ all
of this is correct but where did the .pst file go. If you
log in as admin and do a search for *.pst, many pst file
are shown (all old and out dated) but no outlook.pst

Any thoughts. Its got me stumped and my client mad
(understandable so :( Thanks.

Enable searching in hidden and system folders when looking for .PST files.
The .PST files you found may not have been in hidden or system folders,
while the one that seems to be missing is in a hidden folder.
