PST file keeps getting damaged...

I keep getting "Errors have been detected in the file [my pst file] Quit
Outlook and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair
tol..." I can open it just fine on THIS computer, but if I transfer it to my
laptop, I can't open it. I can't archive it, because I get the same error.

This happened ealier today, and I ended up deleting the PST and restoring a
backup copy of it from a couple days. The problem went away. But just now, I
tried to send an e-mail, and it's back.

Here's the big rub: at this point, you're all about to tell me about the
infamous "2GB bug", yes? Not this time. 32MB file. I archive my e-mail every
month into seperate, montly archives and make backups of each. Yes, I'm
compu-anal-retentive. What's going on?!

I would consider creating a new .pst file and copy the email contents to it.

Are you accessing the copied .pst locally and not over the network for your
laptop?

I did that, and it's behaving for now. However, since it's happened twice
today, I would be a little surprised if it just suddenly stopped happening.

And yes, I am accessing it locally, but I occasionally DO access it over my
home network.

You're kidding! When did that start? There's so many programs out there
designed to help you synchronize PST files over networks. Is this a 2007
problem?
