pst file has errors

I get the message "Unable to disply the folder. Errors have been detected in
the file ... Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled applications and then use ...
scanpst"

I made a copy of the pst file and ran scanpst. I can now open the pst file
but it is empty, although it is still the same size as before (pretty big).
Scan pst said it dectected two errors and corrected them, but apparently it
didn't do a good job fixing the file. None of the folders I added are there
and the inbox and all the usual folders show as empty.

Is there something I can do to the original file to fix it? I tried to
"open" the copy of the file and outlook sees the data in it, but if I try to
open a message or copy it, it says that the file is either locked or deleted
or access is denied.

I am using Outlook 2003 SP2

Read the MS support articles. Looks like I let my pst file get too big. I'll
try PST2GB and see if that can save the file. I may try importing the file
into Eurodora too and see if it sees the files, but I'd rather keep
everything in Outlook.
