Proxy Setting

I am accessing a website via an excel addin. But this website can be accessed only thru a proxy. How to set the proxy setting for this. I have tried setting it up in the internet options also, but does not work

I set my proxy through internet options or MSInternet Explorer|Tools|Internet
options.

On the Connections Tab
Lan settings button
The Proxy server area.

If you have some domains that don't use the proxy, did you remember to click on
Advanced and add the list to the Exceptions box?

(and that exhausts my knowledge of proxy settings--good luck!)
