Proxy Server Setting

Error message is
"The proxy server you have configured could
not be found"
As a result cannot have access to any web site.
Any help to put it right would be appreciated.

Which version of Windows, to include SP?

Which version of IE, to include SP?

Does this happen with all web sites?

Open IE > tools > internet options > connections > Lan Settings. Is a proxy
server noted?

If this happens to all web sites, contact your ISP.

Not an answer, but a start in the correct direction.

This happened after installation of Firefox browser.
I have removed the Firefox browser and it seems
ok now.
