Protecting Worksheets

I have been trying to protect a worksheet to prevent it from being deleted.
I have tried the tools>Protection>Protect Workbooks. I have selected
Structure, however, the workbook can still be deleted without a password or
anything. Is the function not working?
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Kathy

Not possible to prevent a workbook from being deleted by doing something in
Excel, if you are on a network it can be prevented through the network
permissions. Think about it, if you send me a protected file shouldn't I be
able to delete that file without asking you for a password?

Protecting a worksheet does not prevent deletion of that worksheet.

This protection only restricts editing and formatting of the sheet.

You must protect the workbook to prevent a worksheet from being deleted.

Tools>Protection>Protect Workbook.
