Protecting Worksheet

Hi,
I just have a quick question. When i protect my
spreadsheet (tools, protection, protect sheet), even
though i have unlocked the combo boxes i am still not able
to select data without the message telling me the sheet is
protected. Any help with this would really be appreciated!

My guess: The boxes are linked to cells that are protected.
