I am trying to create a form in word 2003, that I can e-mail to my customers
so that they can fill in their details in the fields that I have created, and
e-mail it back to me. I'm not having any problems with creating the form, but
with protecting it. I realise that it can be locked from the forms toolbar,
and it can also be locked using a pass word. I understand about creating the
form text box properties, in so much as it can be text or number fields etc
and you can set the length of the fields to whatever you want. I also
understand about saving it as a template. The problem I have is that it
doesn't matter where you are on the form, if you press the return/or enter
key on the keyboard, then this will insert a new line, and alter the size of
the field boxes, if you keep pressing the return or enter key, then it will
expand the form boxes. I thought that the idea of locking the form was that
so nobody else could alter it, but this does not seem to be the case……. Am I
missing something here… am I doing something wrong. Any help would be
gratefully received!
