Protect "Copy" and "Save As" changes to workbook

I protected my workbook with

File; Save As; Tools; General Options; Password to Modify

I've also protected my worbook with

Tools; Protection; Protect Workbook

But, other users are still able to make changes by creating a copy of the
workbook, or in general, saving it as (Save As) a different file name. Is
there a way to prevent this?

Not really.

Anything I would use would depend on macros and macros can be disabled.

If this is a workplace situation, I think it's best to make sure users are aware
that they should be referring to most current workbook. I'd make sure
management is aware that problems will arise if their employees are using an
older version. (Maybe they can help with the enforcement.)

Thanks Dave... That's what I thought, but I just figured I'd double check.

Here's my dilema. I put the document in question together for use by my
company and one of the companies the we supply to. I know that the company
we supply to will give the document to other suppliers as a format/template
and require them to supply the same information. I want to prevent them from
simply taking my document and modifying it with their information. There are
some macros and some pretty nifty formating tricks in the document, so if
they choose to use my format, I'd like to make them start from scratch.

Maybe you could just ask the recipients to respect your property. Or put plenty
of "property of..." and "for use by..." in the workbook.

Then if they share it with others, they'll be telling people at other companies
that they can't be trusted.
