prompt to global template

Whenever I close a document, even if I have made no changes, I get a message
saying "Word cannot save changes to the global template because it was opened
with read-only access. Do you want to save changes in a template with a
different name?" I have made normal.dot read-only on purpose. How can I
make Word quit asking me this?

It's a very bad idea to have Normal.dot read-only. Word *depends* on
constantly being able to write to Normal.dot and uses it like a scratchpad.

So you should undo that, then you won't get the annoying message. Why'd you
do it in the first place?
