Prompt box for format after pasting disappeared

Until a few days ago, whenever I pasted text from one
place to another a small box would appear giving me the
option to retain original formatting or adopt the
formatting of the place I'd pasted the sentence into. This
has stopped happening and the copied text just does
whatever it feels like (usually changing to font size 12)
until I highlight and alter it. Where do I find the
setting to switch this box back on? I looked in options
but I don't know what it's called so couldn't recognise it
if it's there. Similar problem with help. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the quick reply, but that's already ticked,
there must be something else stopping it working. What
