Projecting embedded movies

I have recently acquired a nice new laptop (Dell Latitude D600) which is running Windows and Office XP.
I have created a presentation that has some video clips embedded in some of the slides.
When I view the presentation on my laptop the video clips play perfectly fine and appear embedded in the slide but when I try to project the presentation through a projector the video clips change the display on the projector and are seen as full screen on the wall despite the fact that on the laptop the video is still seen as being embedded in the slide. Once the video has finished playing the projector visibly changes back to the presentation
