Project locked - Project unviewable!!

Hi all,
I have an Access 2000 DB with user-level security applied to it.
I have the .mdw file and am registered as an admin group member.
The .mdb file is a replica, when I try to view the VBA project I get
a message stating the project is locked (no password entry window?).
I have checked the solutions Microsoft has posted in response to this
error message (digital signature placement - removal) to no avail.
Is this some new code protection scheme?
Regards.

I'm not so sure about Access in particular as far as what may be causing
this issue, but I do know Excel does have this type of issue. Within Excel,
if a file is setup as a Shared file, it will lock the code on the VBA side
and prevent anyone from viewing those codes.

However, here's a link for Access and be sure to follow the steps fully as
it looks as though if you don't, you still run into the same issue.

Hi Ronald,
I allready tried this following the exact procedure they mention.
I'm convinced that this behaviour in access replicas is similar to a
shared excel workbook.
The problem is I tried to unreplicate the DB and get errors regarding
the forms and reports that use VBA code for events. The unreplicated DB
is still locked!
Thanks,
Ernie

Hi all,
I finally got it to work. I had to recover the master replica through
Tools->Replica->Recover master design.
Then I followed the instructions in the Microsoft article ID = 823225
with a "Digital Certificate I generated for myself".
It did work folks.
Regards to all!
