Programs not showing in Start Menu after XP re-installed

I recently re-installed Windows XP on my computer.
Now, when I install a new program it does not show on my start menu.
It does, however show in the 'All Users.WINDOWS' start menu programs folder.
Anyway I can get this reset?

Hi,

To resolve this behavior, customize the Start menu:

1. Right-click the Start button, and then click
Properties.

2. On the Start Menu tab, click Customize.

3. On the Advanced tab, under Start menu items, click
System Administrative Tools.

4. Click to select either the Display on the All Programs
menu or the Display on the All Programs menu and the Start
menu option.

5. Click OK, and OK again to save the change.
