Programs closing overnight

I am using XP SP2. Whenever i leave my computer on overnight. My bit torrent
programs seem to close down. I have all power/hibernation settings turned
off. When i get up and turn the monitor back on, the programs are still in
bottom right taskbar, but when i mouse over they dissapear and i have to re
open the programs again. What could be causing this. I have asked around and
no one else has this problem. All other programs stay open, inclusing Zone
Alram.

If it closes when you mouse-over the icon in the taskbar (by the clock, what
I affectionatly refer to as the "system tray")... that means the program
wasn't shut down correctly, or better-put, it crashed at some point.

Windows didn't know the program crashed, and left the icon there. When you
mouse over the icon, windows polls the program for it's current status (to
display a tooltip there) and when Windows realizes that the program instance
is no longer a running process, it removes the icon.

So it looks like something is causing that program to crash. It could be a
full destination for whatever it's downloading, or a virus, or something
different.
