Programmatically change linked tables from one BE to another.

Hi folks, how can I programmatically change my table links from one BE to
another BE with the exact same field’s name? What I am trying to accomplish
is to, by pressing a button in a form located on the FE, change all the
linked table from a production BE to a test BE and then by pressing another
button (or even the same) re-link back to the production BE again once I am
done with data testing.
