Program Stops Running

I have the program loaded on two computers - a desktop
running Win 2000 pro and a laptop running WinXP Pro. When I
run Scan both computer stop scanning at VARIBLE BROWSER
HIJACK SCAN with message "Program not responding" any
solutions. I unistalled, reinstalled -same problem???

My recommendation is to restart the computer in safe mode, open Microsoft
AntiSpyware, on the Scan Page, choose Scan Options > Full System Scan >
(check the boxes below) > click Run Scan Now. In addition to running
Microsoft AntiSpyware, I also recommend you running the following third
party AntiSpyware solutions in safe mode.

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.intermute.com/products/cwshredder.html
Spy Sweeper - www.webroot.com
Ccleaner - http://www.ccleaner.com

I ran all of the programs you listed in the "safe" mode -
Adware found one tracking cookie but that's all - the MS
AntiSpyware program still stops responding. The scan
finishes the Deep Scan of files and folders in C:\ and as
soon as it starts "Scanning Memory:" It stops - and after
awhile I get the Program is not responding message. I have
it set to scan weekly and the last time it scanned was on
the 24th of June, so something has happened since that
date. Any other suggestions?? MER
