Program list & Notification Area change

I was using my Windows XP Professional pc two days ago, when, suddenly, every
item on the "All Programs" list, and all the icons in the "Notification Area"
scaled down to about half their original size.

I have also had this happen with a Windows XP Home pc.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Solved. For anyone else with this problem, start the "Accessibility Wizzard",
click "Next", then click on the font size you usually use. Click "Next", then
click "Cancel". When it asks you if you want to save changes, click "No".
Your system display should reset.
