Program Files Folder in two partitions

I use Vista 64bit, by default my computer came with two physical hard drives,
one named D:\ (Os) and D:\ (Data) I own a 750GB external drive, where I
located all my docs, pictures, music... So the "D" Drive stills empty.
Meanwhile the "C" Drive is short of space, because all programs installed. It
is a good idea create another Program Files in the "D" drive to free space
for Vista and reinstall programs in that location???

Program Files folder (and any programs that belong in Program Files folder
should be in the same partition that Vista OS is in. There is no advantage to
dividing programs that belong into Program Files folder between two seperate
partions. Disk space is relatively cheap and Vista and its folder should be
given plenty of storage space.

Delete that partition and give the space to "C" - which I believe you
called "D:\(Os)".
