Product key???

For 2 days now I have been trying to get a product key for Vista. Yes I have
been to the download site 6 times now but never get an email with a key!! I
called as is said to do the MS support line only to told they don't give out
keys and you have to get them on line at windowshelp.MS.com. Where they don't
know or not telling. I have downloaded vista beta twice but still NO DAMN
KEY. Can someone help me please????

Have you received any email from Microsoft after you downloaded it? It
should be at the bottom of that email. If your isp has spam filtering check
your bulkmail folder.

Some of us never got the email.

I got a message on the screen that said that they would send me an email,
but I never got it.

Fortunately, the same message had the product key on it, and I wrote it
down, but I never got the email.

They would have sent it to your hotmail account. The one you signed up for
to get the freebie and then forgot about.

As I said never got an email .....6 times I tried...nothing
I am not sure it's worth the effort anymore.....

Oh if that were only true!! All I got was if you don't get it "contact US" of
course they did have all the stuff a spam blocker and wrong email address. I
had no problem with the DLs and have loaded and run the older ver. for some
time without any problems.

Did that 6 times and DLed vista twice but still have no key. Always used
different email addresses so you would think some would come in.

I DLed once using my DL manager and once using thiers. Have never gotten
anything from MS other than to verify my email address and then to DL. I use
Verizon Fiber Optic network (FIOS) 15 Mb service only takes about 15 mins to
download. That's the good news..the bad news is Verizon blocks very little
spam.

I would contact your email provider and double check to see if they are
blocking the emails. I would not be surprised if they have some filtering
that is catching the product keys.
They often show up in Junk Email filters..have you been checking your junk
mail folder?

I didn't sign up for the freebie, in fact this is the first I've heard about
a freebie. In any case when I signed up for the download I gave them my
email address, and they have not sent me any email

Well I found the "FIX" so other who have the problem maybe this will help.

Problem may have been two fold.
1. Verizon may have blocked the email with the key, so I use an account I
have with G mail and it came with no problem. I had tried 6 times beforeon
verizon.
2. At the MS web site after you verify your email address you will get a
page that has the same key that is emailed you. My other problem was I am
running IE 7 with the pop up blocker ON. I had turned it off but it still did
not let the page come up. Used Mozilla Foxfire and had no problem. Page comes
up and key is right there!! And yes the page will print. Someone had said
they could not get it to do so. I am not sure what to do about IE7 as the pop
up block is clearly OFF in the tools but it is still ON!!

Too stupid for a beta OS.

When you help someone like this they will just be back in a few more
days with more stupid question.

This group is being flooded with moronic questions:

Ignore them, children should only listen to adult conversations, not

I only did it once, but I have verizon email. I get mailings like Langa
List and others that have problems being blocked by other ISPs such as AOL,
so I didn't think Verizon was blocking mail. Now I have to wonder what else
I havn't gotten because verizon blocked it.

I used Netscape 8.1, and I got the page with the key on it.

If you receive hundreds of emails per day it could be overlooked (simple
human error)
Luckily, I wrote down my key when I received the email 06/09/06...

Today I tried to find the verification message through the thousands of
emails received and filtered in my inbox... My natural tendency was to search
for Microsoft as the sender... You may want to sort your inbox and search
for "service" (remove quotes) as the sender and/or search for "Microsoft"
(remove quotes) in your subject line... I was able to find the verification
email buried there.

Lastly, check you junk mail folder and the settings to see if it was not
deleted.

I've learned that if 90% of the people get it then you work with the 10% to
get them up to speed; which is the purpose of the forum. People have
different ways of receiving information...

after a bit of looking i found a pice that said they had enough testers maby
thats why theres no keys being sent out what a bummer
